JACK LUGAR ~ J.R. LUGAR
Jack Lugar is a television writer and producer who has worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles for over two decades. He has been involved in various projects, including the sitcom “Wanda at Large” from Warner Bros./FOX, “From the Top” for Family Theater Productions, and projects under comedian Louie Anderson’s company, Louzell Productions.
Jack Lugar’s writing skills have earned recognition in the industry. He has been a writer for the Warner Bros. Comedy Workshop and has received acknowledgments from the Disney/ABC Writer’s Program, Slamdance, Scriptapalooza, and the PAGE Awards. Additionally, he has participated as a panelist and jury member for film festivals such as the Heartland International Film Festival, Indy Shorts, and International Mobile Film Festival.
Since the fall of 2016, Jack Lugar has been a full-time faculty member at Anderson, where he teaches various subjects related to screenwriting, storytelling, cinema studies, directing, and producing for film and television.
Jack Lugar has worked on various projects including the chaptered children’s mystery book “Katz Pajamas,” which is about the adventures of a cat detective. He is also currently working on a young adult fantasy series titled “Sessi and the Gates to Hel,” “Sessi and the Race to Odin,” and “Sessi and the Path to Lyra.”
Additionally, Jack Lugar has written the humor book “The Starving Artist’s Diet” and co-authored “Hollywood Break-In: Launch Your Entertainment Career.”
